Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - Hydrating Sheer Lip Shine

When it comes down to lips and even makeup I am a big believer in Less is more. For me and many city girls a neutral lipstick is a necessity in a makeup bag, it's the hero product that will get you out of quite a few makeup disasters from eating your lipstick off, to heavy rain which suddenly transforms you into a clown (anything goes with this British weather).

'90 Mutine' is a Limited edition shade in Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine Collection and it's my neutral lipstick hero. A must in my makeup bag.
Firstly how could I not mention Chanel's sleek and gorgeous packaging here? It's the ultimate sassy and beautiful look, the juxtaposing metallic gold and black are to die for, not to mention the square shape which is really lovely to clasp in the hand.

The Rouge Coco Shine collection has a luxurious formula that hydrates the lips as well as  adding a perfect flush of colour. The hydrating formula acts as a lip balm, and it really does moisturise the lips and keeps them from cracking and feeling sore (which mine can sometimes do in this cold and wet weather). It is like a two in one product it has the gorgeous and intensely pigmented colour along with this moisturising formula that looks after your lips and gives your pout an irresistible shine.

The colour is very near to my real lip colour making it really perfect for everyday use, it's a very natural shade, great for both school and work. The quality of the formula is very impressive lasting on average for 3-4 hours (depending on what you are doing/eating). What I found very niche and lovely to use was the shape of the bullet. It is flat and slanted a refreshing change to the usual run-of-the-mill lipstick which has the pointed bullet. This uniquely shaped bullet made it so quick and easy to apply the product with out making a mass, I could even do it in the car so 5/5 for shape!

Overall I can't find a fault in this product it's quality and performance is outstanding, I guess the only slight downside is the price it's £24 so might make a little dent in your purse. Saying that it is worth every penny though I have not yet found a product that lives up to it's colour, shine and quality.

Swatching in a slightly different way!
